I’ve been in the health and wellness sector for 35 years. Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, I moved to the USA 30 years ago. I’m married to my husband Steve for 29 years and we have two sons, Jack & Sean. My company offers advanced education to spa therapists including International Certification in Cancer Care, Massage & Esthetics. Also, Menopause rituals in spas, Lymphatics for longevity and Wellness For families with a focus on teenagers and their mental health. I am the chair of the wellness for children initiative through the Global Wellness Institute and the recipient of the Debra Simon Award for Leader in Furthering Mental health. Last year I hosted the first children’s mental health symposium in Ireland with government representatives, this resulted in greater awareness of the role that we, as wellness professionals can play by inviting younger guests to our spas. Our teenagers and young adults are just as stressed as their parents - we can offer a variety of spa services to this demographic by being inclusive and supportive while increasing revenues. I spoke about this at the Global Wellness Summit in Miami last year. I have been a guest speaker at many events around the world from World wellness Dubai Spa Life International, Medical Wellness Congress in Austria and SESSPA in Mexico. I believe that offering advanced education to spa teams helps revenue and retention, while addressing the needs of our savvy clients with greater expectations than ever before.
